Patna: Nearly five districts of Bihar are placed on high alert by the government following reports of a landslide in Nepal. According to reports, the landslide has led to the formation of a lake in River Kali Gandaki in Nepal.
The government of Bihar has taken all precautionary measures to ensure the safety to both life and property. East Champaran, West Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan and Saran are the five districts placed on the alert.
Vijay Kumar Choudary, State Water Resource Minister, said that all the 36 gates of the dam at Balmiki Nagar have also been opened.
