60,000 Maggi kits sold within 5 minutes on Snapdeal

As many as 60,000 Maggi kits, which contained 12 packs of the two-minute noodles, was sold out on an online store on Thursday in less time than it would take to cook three packets of the popular snack.

On Monday Nestle Maggi noodles had announced an exclusive tie up with Snapdeal for the relaunch of the 2-minute noodle. Maggi WelcomeKits were kept on sale at Snapdeal which contained 12 packs of Maggi,a a 2016 Maggi calendar, a Maggi fridge magnet, Maggi post cards and a ‘Welcome Back’ letter.

“We have witnessed a phenomenal response to this sale from customers across the country. We are happy to make this Diwali truly special for them,” said Tony Navin, senior vice president, partnerships and sategic initiatives Snapdeal.

On November 4, Nestle announced that all the samples of their Masala variant were cleared by three NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) accredited laboratories and the lead content was found to be much below permissible limits. Fresh stocks are expected on Monday.
