Delhi: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has unveiled its fourth list of Member of Parliament (MP) candidates, marking a significant step in the party’s preparations for the upcoming elections. The announcement, made here on Saturday, has stirred both anticipation and scrutiny within political circles.

Comprising a total of 46 candidates, the fourth list represents the Congress party’s strategic selection of contenders across various constituencies. Among the notable names featured in the list is former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Digvijay Singh, who has been nominated to contest from the Rajgarh Lok Sabha seat. Singh’s return to the electoral fray has sparked interest, given his extensive political experience and influence in the region.

Another prominent figure in the list is Ajay Roy, the Uttar Pradesh Congress Chief, who has been chosen to contest from the Narharpura constituency. Roy’s candidacy underscores the party’s efforts to strengthen its presence in Uttar Pradesh, a state considered crucial in national politics.

However, what has raised eyebrows is the absence of candidates from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in the fourth list. This development comes as a surprise, considering the significance of these states in past electoral dynamics and the Congress party’s historical foothold in the region.
