Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot were sworn in as the Chief Minister (CM) and Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan respectively, today morning.
Mr. Gehlot and Mr. Pilot administered the oath in front of Kalyan Singh, the Governor of Rajasthan, at Albert Hall, Jaipur, Rajasthan.
The other prominent people present at the ceremony were Rahul Gandhi, the Congress President, Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sonia Gandhi and many more leaders belonging to the Congress party.
Leaders like Mamata Banerjee, Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati were absent from the ceremony, today. Due to unknown reasons, they are likely to miss the other two oath taking ceremonies in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, later today, as well.
However, Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, sent her representative to attend the oath taking ceremony in Madhya Pradesh.
Rahul Gandhi announced Mr. Gehlot will be the next CM of Rajasthan after Thursday’s meeting. Sachin Pilot was given with the post of Deputy Chief Minister.
Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter and shared his happiness and thanked the people of Rajasthan for trusting the Congress party.

The Congress party won the elections held in three states, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)
Kamal Nath and Bhupesh Baghel are also scheduled to take oath as the chief ministers of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh respectively, later today.
