Counting

Kerala: Counting votes of Assembly elections in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Kerala and Puducherry has begun at 8 am. By 12 noon the complete results are expected to be out.
Bharatiya Janata Party is creating a history by winning where it drew blanks earlier. The BJP is all set to win Assam and has made significant place in West Bengal and Kerala. Jayalalithaa’s party crossed the magical mark of 118 needed for majority in the state.

AIADMK is leading in Tamil Nadu and Jayalalitha would turn out to be Chief Minister for two consecutive time since 1989.
The DMK-Congress alliance of opportunity has failed in the state. Congress leads only in Puducherry. Kerala CM Oommen Chandy leading from Puthupally constituency by 2019 votes. TMC is leading in West Bengal with 169 seats while the alliance of Left Front and Congress leads in 53 seats.
