As predicted by the exit polls, the performance of BJP is set to exceed expectations in the assembly elections. The party chief Keshav Prasad Maurya said that it is expected to be around 300 marks whereas the exit polls predicted it to be around 164 – 210. The Uttar Pradesh elections have a 403 seat count for which the counting began on Friday.

It is also expected that like the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, wherein the BJP won by a landslide, 71 out of 80 seats, BJP will again clean sweep not only 2017 assembly elections but also the 2019 general elections.

Also, the present Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, said the BJP chief, accepted defeat when he spoke about tying up with the Bahujan Samajwadi Party led by Mayawati. He said, “The BJP believes he can tie up with his aunt, friend Rahul Gandhi with whoever he wants. But the BJP is going to get such big numbers that the BSP and SP are going to be uprooted.”

Though it is by the end of the day that the results will be out, BJP is predicted to win in the State, which will be clear by 11 A.M. The exit polls suggest that BJP, which contested against Mayawati-led BSP, Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party and Congress alliance which has no chief minter contestant has a clear upper hand in the UP assembly elections.

As per strategy, some experts say that the appeal for BJP began with PM Modi, who is considered the messiah of the poor in the Country. His in general appeal has surpassed the caste dividends created by the BSP, SP and the Congress party.

This victory in UP which is the heartland of the Hindi speaking people and a home to 220 million people will up the chances of BJP winning the general elections in 2019.
