Bihar: In a horrifying incident, husband sold his wife for porn film makers to meet the dowry demands. In less than a month after her wedding, Padma (name changed) alleged that her husband and other members of his family started torturing her over her father’s inability to give them dowry.
According to Padma, her in-laws wanted her father to give her husband 2 lakh rupees in cash along with motorcycle for the marriage, but he was unable to meet their demands because of his financial condition.
Padma further said that her husband, sold her to porn filmmakers for 7 lakh rupees. When Sarita learned that she was to be handed over to her buyers the next morning she eloped from Haryana and went back to her family in Bihar.
Police are looking into Padma’s case and an investigation is ongoing.
