The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is celebrating the birthday of Mr. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India.
Born on the 17th of September 1950, Mr. Narendra Modi turned 71 today, which is a huge celebration for the BJP. On this occasion, the BJP cadres and leaders decided to organise a mega COVID-19 vaccine drive, aiming to inoculate vaccine doses to a large number of people.
The drive which is scheduled to start today, the 17th of September, would continue for 20 days, the 7th of October.
Announcing the same, Mr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Health Minister of India, took to Twitter and urged people to participate in this mega public health programme. He said, “Tomorrow (the 17th of September) is the birthday of our beloved prime minister, lets do #VaccineSeva by helping all unvaccinated people including their loved ones, family members and all sections of the society by getting them vaccinated. This would be a birthday gift for the prime minister.”
The drive has been named as “Seva and Samarpan” campaign. The BJP asked its cadres and workers to ensure the success of this drive, vaccinating a large number of the public against the deadly Wuhan virus.
In addition, The BJP would also distribute 140 million ration bags with PM Modi’s pictures among the needy. The party has also planned other welfare activities like organising blood donation camp, food to needy and birthday celebrations in different region of India.
The day is scheduled with a list of events, Mr. J.P. Nadda, the National President of the BJP would inaugurate a photo exhibition to mark the completion of 20 years of Modi’s political journey, on Mr. Modiji’s birthday.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of Mr. Narendra Modi’s birthday, wishes and greetings poured in across several parties and leaders.
