Amit Shah, the Home Minister of India, started his preparations for the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections

After losing the Maharashtra and Jharkhand Assembly elections, this is another chance for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to win a State’s Assembly elections.

In regard to this, Amit Shah, the President of the BJP, started taking Bengali lessons for the West Bengal Assembly elections.

Mr. Shah does not want the language to be a barrier during the State Assembly election campaigns.  Shah even appointed a teacher to teach him Bengali. Amit Shah could use the language while designing strategies and to connect with the locals in villages and districts of West Bengal.

The decision to learn Bengali came after Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of W.B., called Amit Shah an outsider and said Bengali is not just a language but a matter of pride for the people of W.B.

She even raised a Bengali slogan, “Ma Mati Manush (Mother, Motherland and People.)”

Besides Bengali, Amit Shah, who is an expert at making strategies and agendas of the BJP, is learning Tamil as well.

West Bengal is scheduled to conduct its Assembly elections in 2021.  The major opposition of the BJP in West Bengal is none other than the Mamata Banerjee led Trinamool Congress (TMC.)

While the TMC and the BJP are the major parties in West Bengal, the Indian National Congress (INC,) after winning Haryana, Jharkhand and Maharashtra, is also said to have a chance to win the West Bengal Assembly elections.

Stay tuned for further updates.
