BrahMos, a supersonic cruise missile was successfully test fired by India today. The missile used an indigenous seeker at Pokhran test range in Rajasthan for the test fire.

Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman proudly said the missile hit the target with pinpoint accuracy. Sitharaman tweeted, “Formidable Supersonic Cruise Missile #BrahMos was successfully flight tested at 8:42 A.M., today at Pokhran test range, Rajasthan. The precision strike weapon with Indian made seeker flew in its designated trajectory and hit the target with pinpoint accuracy.”

This Indo Russian joint venture missile’s range can be extended by 400 Kms. The BrahMos is a successful product after India was made a full member of the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR) last year.
