On the intervening night of 24/25 July, the vigilant BSF troops neutralised a Pakistani smuggler while he was trying to smuggle Narcotics through the Ramgarh border area. Giving details on the encounter, PRO BSF Jammu told ANI that four packets of suspected Narcotics (weighing approx 4 kgs) were found along with the body of the Pakistani smuggler. Further search of the area is under progress.
In another development against terror, two terrorist associates of the LeT outfit with arms ammunition were arrested late at night at Chak Tapper Kreeri and their case was registered under UA(P)Act & Arms Act.
In a Joint Operation launched by Indian Army, BSF & Jammu and Kashmir Police, an infiltration bid was foiled on Jul 19 in the morning by alert troops along LOC in Macchal Sector of Kupwara. Two terrorists were eliminated & 4 AK Rifles, 6 hand Grenades & other war-like stores have been recovered, said Chinar Corps, said Indian Army.
