Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, the gram panchayat president of Karnataka’s Mandya district attempted to rape a woman employee in his office on Thursday evening.
Chandrahasa, the accused was caught on camera when he molested the employee and tried to rape her. The 30-year-old is behind the bars as he is charged under attempt to rape a working women.
The incident came into light when the employee shared her worst experience with her colleague and asked them to have a look at the CCTV footage. The incident occurred in the office after working hours at around 6 pm on Thursday, luckily the woman managed to escape. The accused was arrested after the panchayat employees filed a complaint of rape against him at Kesturu Police Station on Friday.
