Tamil Nadu: It seems as if there is no break for Tamil Nadu from heavy rains, as the death troll has increased to 59. Famous places across Chennai like Marina Beach, have been flooded after the uninterputed rainfall. Rainfall of 24 cm has been recorded in Chennai up to 5:30 am today morning.
The Meteorological department has predicted more rains in the Tamil Nadu capital and other coastal areas according to the Monday morning rains.
Schools and colleges ramain shut, suburban train services have been disrupted as well. The state government have relocated people living in low lying areas.
Met officials had earlier said that a low pressure trough had formed in the south east Bay of Bengal and it could intensify into a depression.
