On the 14th of May, India again reported 3,000 plus fresh cases of the Novel Coronavirus, taking the tally to 78,052 positive cases.
The Union Health Ministry confirmed 3,500 new cases on the morning of the 14th of May.
Out of the total 78,003 cases, 49,219 are active and 2,549 are fatalities so far. In addition 26,234 people have recovered from the disease.
In Maharashtra, the infection cases climbed to 25,922 followed by Gujarat that has 9,268 cases and Tamil Nadu has reported 9,227 cases so far.
The National Capital reported 7,998 cases of the Novel Coronavirus infection. Other states which have reported more than 3,000 cases are Rajasthan (4,328,) Madhya Pradesh (4,173) and Uttar Pradesh (3,758.)
States and Union Territories that have reported more than 1,000 cases are Andhra Pradesh (2,137,) West Bengal (2,290,) Punjab (1,924) and Telangana (1,367.)
Among other major states and UTs that have reported cases below 1,000 are, Bihar (953,) Haryana (793,) Jammu and Kashmir (971,) Karnataka (959) Kerala (535,) Odisha (538,) Jharkhand (181,) Tripura (154) and Chandigarh (191.)
