On the 27th of October, Donald Trump, the President of the United States of America (U.S.A.,) confirmed the death of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS.)

Donald Trump addressed the media at the White House and said Baghdadi committed suicide after the U.S., troops attacked him.  Donald Trump said, “Last night, the United States brought the world’s number 1 terrorist leader to justice.” He further added, “He was a sick and depraved man and now he’s gone.”

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is the leader of ISIS, which was designated a terrorist organisation in the Islamic States by the U.S., and Europe.  ISIS is also known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL.)

The U.S., forces raided a compound in northwestern Syria, where Baghdadi was hiding and attacked the area with a bomb.  It was also reported during the attack, Baghdadi detonated a suicide vest, killing himself and three children.

The death of Abu Bakr al Baghdadi ended the years long search for the most wanted ISIS Chief.

Apart from Baghdadi, many other ISIS leaders were killed during the attack.
