On Monday in the late hours, a fire broke out in one of the most expensive residential properties in the world, Antillia. The police officials said that the fire was on the terrace of Mukesh Ambani’s residence.
A senior official said, “The blaze erupted on the ninth floor and was extinguished within a few minutes. There was no major loss of property.”
Mahesh Narvekar, the Chief Officer of the Disaster Management Cell of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai said, “We got a call at 9:04 pm and fire brigade personnel reached the spot at 9:13 pm on the Altamont Road.”
The fire was extinguished by the building staffers with fire extinguishers and also fixing a small line of fire fighting systems. This was done before the fire brigade team reached Antillia. Assistant divisional fire officer K D Ghadigaonkar said, “The fire was confined to the 4G antenna, the plastic framing of the vertical garden, etc on the ninth floor.”
There were no casualties in the incident in the multi-storey building. Located in Malabar Hill, the building is over 170 meters tall.
