On the 24th of October, Devendra Fadnavis, the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra and a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

Mr. Fadnavis said he tested positive for the virus and is currently under home isolation.

The BJP leader is also under medication and treatment as per the advice of the doctors.

Devendra Fadnavis took to his official Twitter handle and said, “God wants me to stop for a while and take a break. I have been working every single day since the lockdown but now it seems that God wants me to stop for a while and take a break ! I have tested Covid-19 positive and in isolation. Taking all medication and treatment as per the advice of the doctors,” he wrote.

The BJP leader requested those who have made contact with him recently to get tested for the virus as well.

In another tweet, Mr. Fadnavis said,“Those who have come in contact with me are advised to get COVID-19 tests done. Take care, everyone! ”

Devendra Fadnavis is one of the star campaigners and the BJP campaign in charge for the Bihar Assembly elections.

However, due to being positive for the Novel Coronavirus Mr. Fadnavis needs to be under home isolation and would not be able to campaign for the Party in the upcoming Assembly election.

The Bihar Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in three phases starting from the 28th of October.

The three phases elections are scheduled on the 28th of October, the 3rd of November and the 7th of November.

The results of the Bihar Assembly elections would be announced on the 10th of November.
