Honeypreet Insan, the controversial and questionably adopted daughter of Dera Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, was allegedly missing but reports state she was in Delhi on Monday.
The police have added her to the wanted list in cases related to sedition and of inciting violence. On Monday, Honeypreet visited her advocate Pradeep Kumar Arya to sign a transit bail application.
The Dera Chief’s companion has filed for protection from arrest from the Delhi High Court which will be taken up today.
The Haryana police are also looking for Honeypreet as they issued an arrest warrants for her and two other Dera followers, Dr. Aditya Insan and Pawan Insaan.
The three of them are being accused of inciting violence and attempting to free Ram Rahim after he was sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment.
The Haryana Police Chief B.S. Sandhu who received confirmation from Honeypreet’s advocate that she was in Delhi took immediate action. He was quoted saying, “A number of teams are already on the job and if Honeypreet is in New Delhi… she will be arrested soon. Our offices are already in touch with New Delhi Police.”
Initially, Honeypreet requested the court to allow her to serve the sentence with Dera Chief Ram Rahim which the court rejected. But once the dark secrets of the Dera Sacha Sauda cult started unraveling Honeypreet decided to abscond and avoid arrest.
