The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), issued rain alerts in a few states, till February 5. West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Manipur, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry are to receive moderate to light rainfall from the 31st of January to February 5.
Besides, decreased temperature, cold waves, and snowfall are expected in North India and the Himalayan region, respectively till February 4. In regions like Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, and another Himalayan region, besides low temperature and cold waves, snowfall is also expected till the 3rd or the 4th of February.
The weather forecast came amid the Western disturbance and cyclonic circulation which is likely to hit Indian states.
Recently, the Himalayan region and Northeastern states witness slightly low temperatures and cold waves.
