On the 23rd of May, Monday, India registered 2,022 new Wuhan viruses also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) infections.
According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) the nation reported 65 fresh deaths due to the Wuhan virus and 2,009 recovery cases on the 23rd of May, Monday.
With the additional Wuhan virus cases, the total tally is at 4,31,38,393, while the active cases dipped to 14,832, till date. Furthermore, the death toll climbed to 5,24,459 and
2,099 recoveries in the last 24 hours increase Total Recoveries to
4,25,99,102 recovery cases in India. In addition, the active cases comprise 0.03% and the national COVID-19 recovery rate is at 98.75%.
The aforementioned cases were confirmed after conducting 2,94,812 Wuahan virus tests, taking the tally to 84.70 crores. The figure for the Wuhan virus tests was confirmed by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR.)
The Union Health Ministry also said that so far, under the nationwide vaccination drive, approximately 192.28 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered.
