V. K. Jain the advisor to Arvind Kejriwal is being questioned by the Delhi Police. This comes after Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash claimed assault by two AAP MLAs.
On Tuesday night, the police arrested AAP MLA Prakash Jarwal in connection with the abuse. The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Harendra Kumar Singh reported Jain is being questioned at the Civil Lines Police Station.
Anshu Prakash alleged two Aam Aadmi Party MLAs had beaten him up in front of Kejriwal at the CM’s residence. V. K. Jain called and asked Prakash to come to Kejriwal’s residence on Monday night where the altercation happened.
In his complaint, Prakash mentioned AAP MLA Amantullah Khan as one of the abusers. The Additional DCP said the police were still trying to track down Khan. On Tuesday night, the police went to Khan’s residence but he was not present.
The allegations of abuse triggered off a massive political storm in Delhi. The BJP is demanding Kejriwal’s resignation while the Congress is asking the AAP Chief to apologize.
The AAP Government on the other end has denied the allegation stating the Chief Secretary is making false claims. They further stated the Chief Secretary was doing so at the behest of the BJP.
