The TDP leaders this week decided to elect Nara Lokesh as an MLC in the MLA quota. He was later introduced in the Andhra Pradesh cabinet. The opposition noticed this and highlighted the fact about how Balakrishna has been sidelined by Chandrababu Naidu. This was a consequence of making his son Lokesh No.2 in the party. The opposition also criticized Chinna Babu for using the MLA quota to elect Lokesh and MLC and not going for the direct elections like everyone did.
Balakrishna the MLA from Hindpur immediately got into action and put a stop to the negative rumors doing rounds about the election. He issued that his son in law was qualified enough to be elected and also deserves the position to which he has been elevated. In support of Lokesh, Balakrishna mentioned the membership drive that was undertaken by Nara Lokesh. He also spoke how TDP has always honored hard working individuals and given them priority and recognition for their work.
Balakrishna also mentioned how Lokesh participated actively in the preparation of TDP Manifesto for the 2014 election campaign. Balayya also blasted the opposition that there was no need to make an issue of Lokesh’s elevation as the MLC and being inducted into the AP cabinet.
