Jyotiraditya Scindia is going to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at 2:00 P.M., on the 11th of March.

After spending 18 years with the Indian National Congress, Mr. Scindia, due to internal issues will join the opposition BJP.

In an exclusive interview with a media channel NDTV, Jyotiraditya Scindia’s aunt Yashodhara Raje Scindia, a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the BJP supported her nephew.  She said the move of Jyotiraditya to join the BJP as “ghar wapsi.”

Yashodhra Raje Scindia, said, “We are not mad.  There are reasons people get up and take such a big step.  He (Jyotiraditya Scindia) has taken a very big step.” She further added, “My mother (Vijayraje) was a tall maharani, respected by MLAs and people.  She was forced to quit the Congress because of a leader Dwarka Prasad Mishra, who overruled her and did not give her respect.  She was very sad about it. Finally, she ended up leaving the Congress.”

Jyotiraditya Scindia joining the BJP is a major drawback for the INC as the BJP might mark the majority and be the largest Party in Madhya Pradesh (M.P.)

Rahul Gandhi, the former President of the INC, blamed the Prime Minister Office (PMO) for destabilising the M.P.,Government.

Mr. Gandhi in a tweet said, “Hey @PMOIndia , while you were busy destabilising an elected Congress Govt, you may have missed noticing the 35% crash in global oil prices. Could you please pass on the benefit to Indians by slashing #petrol prices to under 60₹ per litre? Will help boost the stalled economy.”

Meanwhile, the Kamal Nath Government is confident of finishing its term with the support of independent MLAs, who wish to extend support to the INC.

The final decision regarding the Party in power would be taken after the floor test in M.P.
