In a relief to Maharashtra citizens, the Maha Vikas Aghadi Government led by Shiv Sena, the National Congress Party and the Indian National Congress (INC)  announced to lift all the Wuhan virus (COVID-19) curbs.

On the 31st of March, the MVA Government’s Cabinet approved the same, following which Mr. Jitendra Awad, the Information Minister of Maharashtra, announced it.  As per the Maharashtra Government, from the 1st of April, there would be no Wuhan virus restrictions like night curfew, mask wearing and others.

Furthermore, the Uddhav Thackeray Government also becomes the first to allow mask wearing as an option.  From the 1st of April, wearing masks in public places, one of the major Wuhan virus protocols is said to be optional.

The decision was taken considering the declining number of the Wuhan virus (COVID-19) cases in the State.

Meanwhile, Mr. Jitendra Awad also said, the people of Maharashtra are allowed to celebrate festivals; Ramzan, Gudipadwa and the late B.R. Ambedkar Birth Anniversary.

The official notification regarding the same would be issued soon.
