Brahmani took the center stage on the second day of the event attended by women delegates from India and other countries. She expressed her thoughts about women empowerment and the importance of education. She expressed her words on the lines of her grandfather the late N.T. Rama Rao and her father in law Nara Chandra Babu Naidu and also their initiatives to empower women in the state during their tenure.

Referring to Amaravathi’s history she referred to ”Gautamiputrs Satakarni,” the recent release of her father’s N. Balakrishna, she mentioned his empire to be Amaravathi and said, “He venerated womanhood so much so that instead of the traditional practice of taking one’s father’s name, he took his mother’s name, Gautamiputra Satakarni or son of Gautami.”

Sharing about the women in her family like N. Bhuwaneshwari who is the Managing Director of Heritage Foods, Brahmani said that women empowerment starts at home. She added, “Women in our family were always encouraged to pursue their passion.” She also remarked that our countries have great visionaries and “yet we can’t close our eyes to disparities and anomalies exist as far as women’s issues are concerned.”

Brahmani also said that she believes that women empowerment develops only with self-help and that women should take matters into their hands. She also said that women should not wait for someone to help them and take the reins into their own hands.
