In an overnight attack by the Pakistani troops in Jammu, Samba and Poonch districts, seven people including two BSF jawans were injured.

On Friday, at 9 P.M., the firing began by the Pakistani troops who targeted Indian border outposts and hamlets in the three districts. The firing continued from the Pakistani side till 5 A.M., on Saturday morning.

The Pakistani troops have been violating the ceasefire on a regular basis forcing hundreds of people living along the border to flee to safer locations.

The Pakistani troops targeted 20 villages in Arnia, R.S. Pura and Ramgarh sectors.

The Pakistan troops also instigated a gunfight in Poonch that resulted in an eight year old boy getting injured on Friday evening.

The police had to act quickly and ensure the safety of as many civilians as possible. They evacuated 500 people in the middle of the night from areas that were being targeted by the troops. An official reported that the villagers are being housed at a camp.

Nearly 20,000 people have left their homes in Arnia and R.S. Pura sectors in just a few days to avoid being killed in the continuous crossfire.

Pakistan has been violating the ceasefire every day from September 13th and September 18th. The shelling resumed again on September 21st that resulted in the death of a BSF jawan and a civilian.
