Narendra Modi started his day with an aerial tour of the great Statue of Unity, following which, he visited the Sardar Sarovar Dam in Gujarat.
Mr. Modi, who started his political career in 1988 as the Organising Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Gujarat, visited Khalvani Eco Tourism site in Kevadiya.
Later, he visited Cactus Garden in Kevadiya, followed by the Butterfly Garden.
Mr. Modi will visit his home in Gujarat and mee Hiraben, his mother, around 2:00 P.M., and will take her blessings on his birthday.
