Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the 17th of June, conducted the meeting with chief ministers id Indian states and discussed the Novel Coronavirus conditions in India.
Mr. Modi during the virtual meeting, dismisses all the rumours of lockdown and asked the state ministers to be prepared for Unlock 2.0.
M Modi asked Chief Ministers to “fight rumours”, as he asked states and Union Territories to get ready for Unlock 2.0
Addressing chief ministers on the second day, Mr. Modi asked to fight the pandemic crisis and rumours of lockdown.
Mr. Modi said, “We, now need to focus on phase 2 of the Unlock process, while at the same time, how to minimise any possibilities of harm to citizens.”
He further added, “We have to always keep in mind that the more we can stop the corona, the more it will stop growing, the more our economy will open, our offices will open, the markets will open, the means of transport will open, and so will new employment opportunities.”
With this, it is clear India would not witness any lockdown instead Unlock.2.0., would be in line soon.
The Unlock 1.0., is schedule to be till 30th of June and Unlock 2.0., likely to begin with additional economic openings from the 1st of July.
States like Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal and others took part.
