PM Modi Gives Up His Social Media For This Reason

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the 3rd of March, announced he would  give up his social media accounts for the women of India.

Mr. Modi took to Twitter and posted, “This Women’s Day, I will give away my social media accounts to women whose life & work inspire us. This will help them ignite motivation in millions.

Are you such a woman or do you know such inspiring women? Share such stories using #SheInspiresUs.”

The Twitter post today ended all the speculations of why Prime Minister Modi is quitting social media platforms.

On the 2nd of March, Prime Minister Narendra Modi,  announced to quit his social media platforms like Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook.   The tweet read, “This Sunday, thinking of giving up my social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.  Will keep you all posted.”

Instantly, after Narendra Modi’s post to quit social media, Twitterati created a buzz over the announcement with #IWillAlsoLeaveTwitter #PMModi.

However, on the next day, the 3rd of March, PM Modi revealed his intention behind the announcement.

The gift is for all the women of India, so that they could share their inspiring stories through Narendra Modi’s social media platforms.  The motive behind the same is to motivate millions of people, following Modi on his social media accounts with inspiring stories from the women of our Country. However, PM Modi did not clear whether the decision to give up social media is a temporary one or a permanent one.  

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has 53 million followers on Twitter, 44,620,369  followers on Facebook and 35.2 million followers on Instagram.
