Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi were all praises for each other. For the first three minutes in his speech, the PM was all praises for the Bihar CM. He called the work done by Nitish Kumar as inspirational. Narendra Modi said, “Social change is a very tough thing to create, yet he has shown remarkable ability in implementing prohibition. If this policy is successful in Bihar, the whole country will be inspired,”

The Prime Minister delivered a speech, on the occasion of the 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh. The Guru is mainly revered by the Sikhs and was born in Bihar. The PM mainly praised Nitish for the prohibition law introduced in the Bihar state banning alcohol. While some considered this draconian and over reacting the CM declared his full support to the Demonetisation move that angered his party leaders. Of all the opposition leaders the Bihar CM was the only one who stood in support of this move against corruption.
Though the two of them have a shared history of defeating each other in political elections, the duo shared a cordial relation at the meet and showered praises for each other.
