Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to go on separate state visits from the 20th of June to the 25th of June.
According to the Union Ministry of External Affairs (MEA,) Mr. Narendra Modi would visit the United States of America, followed by Egypt from the 20th of June to the 25th of June.
On the 16th of June, Friday, the MEA shared a tweet about the visit of Mr. Narendra Modi to the United States and Egypt.
Furthermore, during the state visit of Mr. Narendra Modi, in the United States, would begin in New York City, where he would lead the celebrations of the International Day of Yoga. The celebration would be held on the 21st of June, at the headquarters of the United Nations. It is to be noted, in December 2014, the United Nations adopted a resolution and proclaimed the 21st of June as the International Yoga Day. Thereafter, Mr. Narendra Modi would travel to Washington DC, where he would meet Mr. Joe Biden, the President of the United States of America. Later that evening, Mr. Narendra Modi would attend a state dinner hosted by Mr. Joe Biden, honoring the Prime Minister of India.
Furthermore, as per the MEA announcement, Mr. Narendra Modi would also take part in a joint sitting of the U.S. Congress, on the 22nd of June. On the third day of the U.S.A., tour, the 23rd of June, Mr. Narendra Modi would attend a luncheon hosted by Ms. Kamala Harris, the Vice President of the United States and Mr. Antony Blinken, the Secretary of the U.S.A.
After wrapping up the U.S.A., tour, the Prime Minister would then head to Egypt for a state visit on the 24th and the 25th of June. The visit is at the invitation of Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Egyptian President. Notably, this will be Modi’s first visit to Egypt.
