After the judgment of the Supreme Court in favor of the activists, the Pune Police shared that they have digital evidence on the basis of which the arrests proceeded.
Pune Police Commissioner K. Venkatesham stated they have digital evidence to expose a large conspiracy. The big conspiracy revolves around how to mobilize cadres, how to take action against security forces, which weapons need to be procured and how to raise funds.
The Pune Police is confident about the evidence and will continue the investigation. Mr. Venkatesham said, “Our investigation will go on and we will take the case to the logical end.” He also added they have certain key leads which will help them to take the case forward.
Sources say that the Pune Police have some letters which are proof against the activists who are presently under house arrest.
Meanwhile, a senior police officer, who is privy to the investigation, said the police have “conclusive evidence” to prove that the Bhima-Koregaon violence on the 1st of January was “preplanned.”
