Rafale Aircrafts To Be Included On Air Force Parade Day

The Rafale aircraft would be included in the 88th anniversary of the Indian Air Force’s Air Force Day Parade.

On the 8th of October, the Indian Air Force would proudly celebrate its 88th anniversary.

On this occasion, a air display by various aircraft would be the hallmark of the Air Force Day Parade also known as Investiture Ceremony at Air Force Station Hindon (Ghaziabad.)

The Air Force Day is celebrated to mark the day the IAF was established in 1932. The force will celebrate its 88th anniversary this year with the Hindon airbase’s annual parade in Ghaziabad, which includes air display of various aircraft.

In regard to this, the IAF official said, “Along with other aircraft, the Rafale aircraft will also take part in the Air Force Day parade on October 8.”

In a tweet, the IAF said, “#AFDay2020: Rafale – The Rafale is a 4.5 generation, twin-engine omnirole, air supremacy, interdiction, aerial reconnaissance, ground support, in-depth strike, anti-ship, and nuclear deterrence fighter aircraft, equipped with a wide range of weapons.”

Recently, on the 10th of September, the Central Government inducted five Rafale fighter jets formally into the IAF.

These Rafale jets are the first of the 36 contracted by India from France. In 2016, the Defense Ministry of India signed a contract of 36 Rafale jets from the aviation company, Dassault.

These jets would boost the power of Indian Air Force.

Last year Rajnath Singh, the Defense Minister of India, visited France and attended the induction and handover ceremony of the first Rafale jets slated for the Indian Air Force (IAF.)

Induction of the remaining Rafale jets would be completed by 2021.
