The Union Budget Parliament Session is likely to witness stormy scenes today, Thursday, the 16th of March.
According to sources, in the parliament session, the Member of Parliament (MPs) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders will hold a discussion over the controversial remark of Mr. Rahul Gandhi, the former President of the Indian National Congress (INC.)
Notably, statements of Mr. Rahul Gandhi, the MP of Wayanad, at Cambridge University, London, the United Kingdom, created a controversy in India. The PM Narendra Modi led Central Government criticised the INC and Mr. Rahul Gandhi, for defaming India at international land.
On the 16th of March, Mr. Rahul Gandhi is all set to make an appearance today after his UK tour and give a statement regarding the UK comments controversy.
The second half of the Budget session has so far turned out to be washout after proceedings were disrupted for the third straight day by members of the ruling BJP and opposition parties.
The Opposition is intent on cornering the government over the Adani-Hindenburg row and is pressing for a joint parliamentary committee probe into the matter.
On the other hand, the Centre continues to insist on an apology from Mr. Rahul Gandhi, sayingb he made derogatory remark against India and the Indian Government.
Notably, the second phase of the 2023-2024 Budget Session of India, started on the 13th of March, and would continue till April.
