A Rajasthan court, on the 23rd of July, ordered an investigation against Gajendra Shekhawat, a Union Minister.

Recently, the Indian National Congress (INC) filed a complaint against Mr. Shekhawat and alleged him to be involved in a credit society scam. 

According to sources, the orders of the Rajasthan court came after the INC alleged Gajendra Shekhawat to be involved in a bid to topple the Ashok Gehlot Government.

The Special Operations Group (SOG) has already sent a notice to the minister in connection with a probe into audio clips which purportedly indicate efforts to lure MLAs away from the Congress.

On the 22nd of July, the additional judge Pawan Kumar directed the additional chief judicial magistrate’s court to send the complaint against the BJP leader to the SOG.

The case of credit scam has been registered against Mr. hekhawat and his wife and others.

Since August 2019, the Jaipir Unit of the SOG are investigating the Sanjivani Credit Cooperative Society scam of Rs. 900 crores. 

Currently, the SOG unit of Jaipur are investigating Gajendra Shekhawat’s involvement in two seperate cases, one is the audio clips conspiring to topple the Rajasthan Government and another one is Credit scam.
