The grand Ram Mandir fundraising drive collected Rs. 1,511 crores across India

On the 12th of February, the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra updated the collection amount.

According to Treasurer Govind Dev Giri, of the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, people across India donated a sum of Rs. 1,511 crores. Mr. Giri on the 12th of February, gave details of the received amount for the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

The nationwide fund raiser drive started in January 2021 and in a short span of a month, the trust collected the big amount.

Mr. Govind Dev Giri told ANI that they aim to reach 4 lakh villages and 11 crore families from across India as part of the donation drive. The donation drive started from the 15th of January and would continue till the 27th of February.

Mr. Giri said, the trust is collecting donations through three bank accounts with State Bank of India (SBI), Punjab National Bank (PNB) and Bank of Baroda (BoB), and also providing Unified Payment Interface (UPI) options for making donations. On the ground, the Sangh Parivar workers are issuing coupons of Rs. 10, Rs. 100 and Rs. 1,000 which can be bought by people.

Donations in cash up to Rs. 20,000 are accepted but donations above that limit are accepted in the form of a cheque.

The donation is being collected under Sangh Parivar and its several workers and associates.

In regard to keeping a track of the donations, the trust developed an app.

The district in charge are given tasks to upload data of those who donated for the temple, bank details, details of the receipt issued after making donations and details of those who deposited the money to the bank to the app.

The Ram temple in Ayodhya is one of the major agendas of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Assembly poll manifesto.

On the 5th of August 2020, at 12:30 P.M, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the stone for the construction of the most awaited Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.

The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust is taking care of the construction and development work of the Ayodhya Ram temple.
