After India reported its first case of Novel Coronavirus, on the 2nd of February, another positive case of the disease was reported in Kerala.

Another student, who was studying in Wuhan, China and returned to Kerala, was tested positive.  He returned from Wuhan with 323 Indians and 7 Maldivians. The Indian Government is trying to evacuate as many Indians as possible from the Novel Coronavirus affected China.

With regard to the increasing number of patients infected with the virus, the Union Government also announced the e visa facility for Chinese travellers would be temporarily suspended.  The Central Government issued a fresh advisory for the same, stating anyone with travel history to China since the 15th of January can be quarantined.

So far, the family of viruses, Novel Coronavirus, killed 300 plus people in China and the number of positive coronavirus cases increased to 14,000.

Both the Novel Coronavirus cases in India were reported in Kerala.

Nearly 2,000 people in Kerala are under observation in hospitals and are in isolation.

The Health Ministry of Kerala, on the 2nd of February, issued a statement to inform about the condition of the second patient.  The patient is said to be in isolation.

The Indian Government screened as many as 58,658 passengers from 445 special flights for NCoronavirus.

The evacuation of Indians from Wuhan, China, is underway.
