Dehradun: On Wednesday, the police horse Shaktiman, which had lost its leg in a BJP rally in Dehradun, passed away. BJP MLA Ganesh Joshi is accused of assaulting the horse during clashes between BJP protesters and the police on March 14. Last month, Shaktiman’s injured leg was amputated to stop the spread of gangrene in his body.
After the assualt, the MLA was arrested and let off on bail. He was charged with cruelty and maiming an animal. People demanded severe action against the MLA for injuring the horse.
