On the 27th of November, a few Members of Parliament (MPs) of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) met Amit Shah, the Home Minister of India, in Delhi.
MPs Galla Jayadev, Rammohan Naidu, Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar and Thota Seetharama Lakshmi met Mr. Shah and complained to him about the issues in Andhra Pradesh. The TDP MPs said the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) is filing false cases against TDP members and attacking Party activists and workers to make them vacate their houses in Andhra Pradesh.
The TDP MPs said the YSRCP is violating human rights.
They said, “They (YSRCP) are attacking TDP workers, leaders and in return booking false cases against the very TDP workers, leaders. CM Jagan is pressurising police officials to book TDP leaders without any reason. Our party leaders are being harassed. Democracy is being murdered. There are no human rights in AP.”
Amit Shah responded positively to the request of the TDP MPs and assured he would look into the matter.
The meeting was held after the Parliament session in Delhi.
