Mr. Ram Nath Kovind, the President of India, on the 31st of January, Monday, addressed the joint session of the Union Budget Session.
In his speech to the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, the President of India highlighted the achievements of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Union Government. He appreciated the medical infrastructure under the Aayushman Bharat and the ongoing mega Wuhan virus vaccination drive. In his address, Mr. Ram Nath Kovind noted that 150 crore doses were administered to the country’s citizens in a record time. He said, Rs Rs. 64,000 crore PM Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission would prepare the country for a health crisis in the future.
Mr. Kovind also appreciated schemes and welfare schemes launched to provide better growth of various sectors in India. Flagging other achievements of the Central Government, He said over six crore rural households are getting tap water under ‘Har Ghar Jal initiative,” India’s agriculture exports have also crossed Rs. 3 lakh crore.
The Indian President also said more than 11 crore farmer families received Rs. 1.80 lakh crore through the PM-KISAN and big changes have been seen in the farm sector.
With this President’s address, the Union Budget Session 2022-2023 started from the 31st of January. In addition, on the 1st of February, the Union Finance Minister Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman would present the Union Budget for the fiscal year 2022-2023.
