Mumbai: Anurag Thakur is all set to be unanimously elected as the youngest Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) President today at the Board’s Special General Meeting in Mumbai.
Thakur nominated for the post after resigning as BCCI Secretary, and received the signatures of all six east zone units- Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), Assam CA, Tripura CA, NCC and Jharkhand SCA.
Bharatiya Janata Party MP in Lok Sabha, Mr. Anurag Takhur completed the nomination formalities in presence of former India captain and CAB president Sourav Ganguly.
The post of BCCI President is lying vacant since Shashank Manohar stepped down earlier this month to become ICC Chairman.
