On the last day of the 2022 Commonwealth Games, which was held at Birmingham, England, the United Kingdom, India’s badminton player Lakshay Sen secured gold.
After Shuttler P.V. Sindhu, Lakshya Sen also bagged a Gold Medal in the first men’s singles badminton event.
Lakshya Sen defeats Malaysia’s Ng Tze Yong 19-21, 21-9, 21-16 to win gold medal. The Indian shuttler made a remarkable comeback after losing the first game. He went on to win back-to-back games to clinch a memorable gold.
With this victory, Lakshya Sen joined the elite club of gold medalists in badminton.

Furthermore, after the remarkable win of Lakshya Sen, the President of India Ms. Draupadi Murmu took to Twitter and congratulated the young champion.

With this, India secured a total of 61 medals at the Commonwealth Games 2022. Of the total, 22 are Gold Medals, 23 Bronze Medals and 16 Silver.
