Cricketer rams car onto Railway Platform

On Monday morning, a 25 year old rammed his car onto the railway station platform of Mumbai city. The road rage incident took place at the Andheri railway station and fortunately there was no loss of life of injuries reported from the spot of the accident. The Mumbai police informed the media that this accident happened around 7:15 AM and the station was filled with people who were in hurry to board trains for their daily schedule. The police identified the individual as cricketer Harmeet Singh Basshan, an Under 19 World Cup team ex-member who rammed his Hyundai Sedan into the platform.

This speeding car hit a pillar on the platform number 1 of the Andheri Railway Station which ensued chaos. The Police arrested the accused and have started investigating the incident and his parents at a residence in Evershine Nagar of Malad have been intimated about the incident. No major damage was caused as the day was too early and there were not too many people.

The Railway Police force has confiscated the vehicle and taken the cricketer into custody for interrogation. The RPF quoted that as it is a bailable offense the cricketer will be booked and Singh explained that he mistook handicap passenger ramp as road and continued driving which caused the accident.
