After the recent victory against England series, the Indian Cricket squad is set to play the West Indies-India One Day International (ODI) three-match series, from the 21st of July.
However, key players of the Indian Cricket Team like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and others in the England series squad took a rest. After the 2-1 series triumph in England, the Indians have opted to rest these players, paving the way for a new and talented squad for the West Indies series.
Pacer Mohammed Siraj and wrist-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal are expected to lead the ODI series in West Indies.
Meanwhile, with key players on rest, batsmen Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill, and Suryakumar Yadav together with all-rounder Deepak Hooda are expected to come to the fore.
Highlighting the schedule of the West Indies-India series, all three ODIs would be played at Queen’s Park Oval after which the teams switch format but stay in Trinidad for the first T20 International at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba.
