IPL 2020 : Instagram Users Cheer For IPL Teams With Unique Fashion Ideas 

With the Indian Premier League (IPL) taking place in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates (UAE,) fans took the game to the virtual world and cheered for their favourite teams in the most entertaining way. 

With the new Instagram Reel features, fans of specific teams are coming up with different ideas and supporting their favourite IPL franchise.

This year, wearing your favourite team’s jersey and rooting at the stadium is not an option, instead fans in an innovative way dressed up and shouted virtually in the support of the 8 IPL teams.

One such Instagram Reel with #MyIPLReel #FeelKaroReelKaro gained a lot of attention.

Ankita Mohanty, a YouTuber and blogger who is an evident fan of the IPL took to Instagram and with several 15 seconds Reel videos cheered for IPL teams.

In a recent Reel posted by Ms. Mohanty, she dressed up in the hometown look of each IPL team and motivated them virtually.

In 15 second video, Ankita changed to 8 outfits, starting from Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) with blue silk saree, followed by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) with half lehanga saree (traditional way of wearing saree in Hyderabad,) Mumbai Indians (MI) with Kacchi Saree in Maharashtrian style.

The other outfits worn in the Reel showcased the remaining teams like Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a Bengali style saree, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) wearing a shirt and lungi, Rajasthan Royals (RR) with black and white ghagra and chunni, Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) with Patiala dress and Delhi Capitals (DC) with a white Chikankari dress.

She captioned the Reel video “A little late in the celebration, but still a huge celebration! As the IPL20 is progressing, the fun is also increasing. And I couldn’t sit down quiet with it. So here I am CHEERING THE IPL TEAMS in their HOMEGROUND OUTFITS! Tell me your fav team in the comments below.

Due to the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 fans were not allowed to stand and root for their team at stadiums.

Besides #MyIPLReel, reels with specific hashtags like #MyMIReel, #MyCSKReel, #MyKKRReel, #MyRCBReel, #MySRHReel, #MyKXIPReel, #MyDCReel and #MyRRReel are also being used widely.

The 8 teams playing in the IPL 2020 are: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH,) Chennai Super Kings (CSK,) Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB,) Delhi Capitals (DC,) Kings XI Punjab (KXIP,) Mumbai Indians (MI) and Rajasthan Royals (RR.)

The 13th edition of IPL is being held in Abu Dhabi, the UAE.

IPL 2020 started from the 19th of September and is going to be held till the 10th of November.
