Legendary Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar expressed disappointment regarding the team selection of the World Test Championship Indian squad.
In a tweet Mr. Sachin Tendulkar slammed the WTC selection and said, “India had to bat big in the first innings to stay in the game, but they couldn’t. There were some good moments for Team India, but I fail to understand the exclusion of Ashwin in the playing XI, who is currently the number one Test bowler in the world.” In another tweet, Mr. Sachin Tendulkar said, “Like I had mentioned before the match, skilful spinners don’t always rely on turning tracks, they use drift in the air and bounce off the surface to disguise their variations. Not to forget, Australia had 5 left-handers out of their top 8 batters.”
The exclusion of Ashwin from the XI Indian Squad for the International Cricket Council (ICC) WTC surprised Sachin Tendulkar. The tweet was shared amid the recently concluded WTC 2023 Finals between India and Australia.
Started on the 7th of June, the ICC WTC Finals was concluded on the 11th of June, with a massive victory for the Australian team. Team India lost against Australia, which scored 469 runs and thrashed India by 209 runs.
