The Indian Cricket Team Captain Virat Kohli, is not a man known to mince words. On Saturday too the Captain admitted that the batting against Australia which resulted in 333 run loss was the worst display in the last two years. India faced a humiliating loss in the three-day test match against Australia.

Speaking about this loss Kohli said, “We got outplayed in this game. We got to take it on the chin, accept that they outplayed us. It was our worst batting display in the last two years. We were not good enough on any of the three days. It was the case of us not applying ourselves too well. We need to see what we did wrong.” The Captain also admitted that the Australians exploited the situation in the best way possible.

Kohli added, “They exploited it better than us. They put us under pressure throughout and deserved to win this game. Credit to them that they played better than us. We’ve had two really bad sessions and to pull it back against a quality side is very difficult. But there are no excuses. Sometimes, you have to take your hat off and tell the opposition well done.”

The Indian Captain was not dejected by this loss and showed confidence that the team would be back in form and bounce back strongly. Kohli said, “I am sure we are going to bounce back strongly. It has been a good run for us with 19 match unbeaten streak before this game. Good to see the crowd still supporting us.”

The Indian team had back to back wins from 19 matches, which was broken by the Australian Cricket Team with Steve O’Keefe showing his best bowling skills from the team.
