Virat Kohli’s fan arrested for hoisting Indian flag at Pakistan

New Delhi: Indian cricket team caption Virat Kohli’s Pakistani fan was arrested for hoisting Indian national flag at his house in Lahore, during the first T20 match between India and Australia on Tuesday.

Umar Draz, fan of Kohli was arrested and his house was raided yesterday. Police found a poster size photograph of Kohli pasted on the walls of his house.

According to the reports, a police officer Muhammad Jamil said, “We raided the house of Umar Draz and seized the Indian flag from his roof-top.”

Draz in his defense told police that: “I am a big fan of Virat Kohli. I support the Indian team because of Kohli. Hoisting of Indian flag on the rooftop of house only shows my love for the Indian cricketer.” He said he should be seen as “an Indian cricketer’s fan and not as a spy”.
