Australian pace bowler Josh Hazlewood pleaded guilty to a dissent charge after launching an expletive-laden tirade when a decision went against him in the second Test versus New Zealand on Tuesday.
The Australians were not happy with the third umpire’s decision as they felt the mark shown on Hot Spot was actually Williamson’s bat hitting his boot.
A visibly upset Smith headed towards Martinesz to make a protest, while the bowler Hazlewood was head saying “Who the f*** is the third umpire?” on the stump microphone.
Same like Brendon McCullum’s last career ODI, his final test too witnessed a major umpiring controversy.
This behavior from the Aussies not only drew flak from fans but also the commentators.
“You live by the sword, you die by the sword. It’s not this man’s fault. He gave it not out, you asked, they provided the evidence. He does not deserve a grilling out there,” said Iam Smith.
