Yuvraj’s century stabilized the innings after a frisky start in the match where England won the toss and elected to bowl first. K.L. Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan started off briskly but Rahul was dismissed by Chris Woakes in the third over. The second wicket was Virat Kohli, who got out by catch four balls after Rahul’s dismissal. Dhawan was the third wicket, leaving India at 25/3.

As Dhoni and Yuvraj’s partnership took off, Yuvraj proved himself to be the aggressive force of the two. The ex-Captain Dhoni, kept the strike rotating and let the Punjab Captain Yuvraj take the game and stabilize it. Yuvraj has scored his century in ODI’s today after a five year break!
